Well, you can expect to see me at any event or meeting within the city, engaging with the people of Gary.
Why I came to Capital B
To be totally honest, the B stands for Black, right? A newsroom that serves the people, gives Black people a voice, and shares accurate information about Gary is everything that I stand for.
What I do in my free time
I love to laugh, so when I have downtime, I scroll through social media (laughing out loud) — or watch an African series or movie on Netflix.
The song I’m listening to right now
There was no era greater than the ’90s. My ’90s R&B playlist is always in rotation. “Tell Me” by Groove Theory is on repeat.
My favorite Black storyteller/creator
Nikki Giovanni is top tier. The viral video of her with James Baldwin discussing the relationship between a Black man and woman made me look more into her work. She makes you feel all the emotions in every piece, but Black Feeling, Black Talk, Black Judgment touches me to my core.
